A new thunderstorm alert has been issued by the Met Office with more wet weather on the way
Scots should brace for more wet weather tonight as the Met Office has issued a fresh yellow thunderstorm warning.
Up to 20mm of heavy rain is set to fall within a single hour, while 30mm could fall in a three hour period in a few places. The latest alert stretches across the Highlands, Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow and commuters in these areas should prepare for transport delays. Unsettled conditions are likely to cause disruption again tonight, but most showers and thunderstorms will die out early this evening.
Despite the grim forecast, temperatures are set to remain above average and will be humid for most regions.Scotland's yellow thunderstorm warning - Wednesday When: Wednesday, June 21 - noon until 6pm.
