The plans are set to bring 25 full-time equivalent roles to the area, according to the company

A new whisky storage warehouse scheme in Throsk has moved a big step towards becoming a reality after a planning application for the site was recommended for approval.

Their report is now in ahead of a meeting of the council’s planning and regulation panel next Tuesday - with the warehouse plans given the green light subject to a legal agreement being drawn up over a financial contribution over roads and other conditions over the development being met. Casks will be filled and matured from all the IMD distilleries, which are Rosebank in Falkirk, Glengoyne in Stirlingshire and Tamdhu in Knockando on Speyside.

Other objections - including one from Throsk Community Council regarding whisky mould and traffic concerns - were also received for the application, but officials have decided to move for approval.
