A large police presence has been reported on a street in Salford this afternoon, with the air ambulance also landing close to the scene.One witness said as many as six ambulances and 10 police vans and cars were at the scene, and a police helicopter was also called out.
Velour Close in Salford is at the bottom of Blackfriars, near to the River Irwell.The witness said: "They have put crime scene tape up around the furthest block of flats in the right hand corner.""The police have remained and the cordon remains in place," he added.The air ambulance was also pictured at the scene nearby.This is a breaking news story - we'll be bringing you the latest from the scene in our blog below.
