She didn't hold back
Miriam Margoyles is known for speaking her mind and while many are left shocked by some of her statements others claim her as a national treasure. The 81-year-old didn't disappoint when it came to straight talking during an appearance on ITV's This Morning, leaving hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby mortified.
However, host Holly disagreed. “I think it’s very rude of person to suggest what you should wear, you should wear what you like shouldn’t you,” she said innocently. According to the Mirror, Miriam whole-heartedly disagreed. She then called out a crew member for wearing a skirt that was “too short” as it only just covered her “*****”. "No when you go to an audition you’ve got to wear what is acceptable. I mean one of the ladies who works here, she's just wearing a p***** pelmet," she declared, before adding: "It's far too short!"
He gaped at Miriam, as Phil turned round to look apologetically at Ella off-screen. He replied: “Yes Ella’s over here.” He urged the camera crew not to show her skirt on-screen to embarrass her further: “Do not point the camera at Ella, do not point a camera at Ella, you look gorgeous.”
