This Morning faced boos while at the NTAs
Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield were left facing boos at the National Television Awards when This Morning’s nomination was announced as part of the best Daytime Show shortlist.
Despite the reaction, as they took to the stage Phil, 60, looked overcome with emotion and thanked the This Morning viewers for their ongoing support and crowning them the best Daytime Show – giving the programme its 12th NTA in a row. Following the pair’s speeches, Friday host Alison Hammond took to the stage and was encouraged by Holly and Phil to say a few words of her own.
The reaction comes after Holly and Phil were accused of queue-jumping while visiting the Queen lying-in-state last month during the national period of mourning. “It was strictly for the purpose of reporting on the event for millions of people in the UK who have not been able to visit Westminster in person.
