A THIEF was punished for a second time after trying to escape police following a house raid.
On entering, she noticed items in her kitchen to be out of place. It also appeared that the living and dining room had been ransacked as it was in a state of disarray. She called her husband about the break-in and was later told by neighbours that they saw a male in a tracksuit and a female in a dress leaving the property.
As soon as the pair saw police, they scrambled over a fence into a rear garden but were later caught.
