A temporary site is being considered to help improve services for residents
Residents in a Nottinghamshire village say they have been experiencing problems with their signal for months after an O2 mast has become out of service. The mobile phone provider, now run as part of Virgin Media O2, has been looking at potential new sites in Collingham - but warned that this may take some time.
An O2 spokesperson said: “We apologise to any customers in the Collingham area who may be experiencing intermittent issues with their mobile coverage. One of our masts is located on a site that is undergoing redevelopment and, as a result, the mast is currently out of service."We are actively looking at ways to restore services to normal levels for our customers as soon as possible.” People in the village spoke of the disruption.
A 47-year-old resident in the village stated she had "certainly" noticed an issue. She explained: "I work at home part of the time, so it's been a nightmare. It's been three months or longer. Retired Jane Lee, 73, said: "Yes I've noticed it. I've been managing but I don't use my phone that much.
