The list you never knew you wanted: the weirdest pet names in the UK 🐶👇
The names have come from Everypaw Pet Insurance, who have revealed the registered names that’ve come their way since January.
Only one person has a pet registered with the name Ham and Cheese Toastie, making it incredibly unique. We’re picturing a ginger cat. The insurance company sees a lot of puns being used for names, hence why Albus Dumblepaws is no surprise, along with Obi Bun Kenobi, which is a pun on Star Wars’ Obi Wan Kenobi.Online searches for ‘best pet names’ have risen by 194% over the last three months, while ‘good unique dog names’ has seen a 200% increase year on year, so it appears that everyone wants to stand out from the crowd.
A spokesperson for Everypaw Pet Insurance said: ‘Naming a pet is a very personal experience and is often one of the first things you do as a new pet owner. It is incredibly exciting to think of a pet’s name, but it can often be tricky to find one that suits them perfectly and stands out from the crowd.
