Consumer group Which? has released new research detailing the top retirement destinations across the UK, and one scenic Scottish region is included in the study.
The best places in the UK to retire in the UK have been revealed, and one Scottish region is included in the list.
As reported by the Scottish Daily Express, the Outer Hebrides is the only area in Scotland to be featured in the list — making it the top place in the country to retire. The chain of islands off the mainland's west coast, which includes Lewis and Harris, South and North Uist, and Barra, is renowned for its spectacular scenery and is a popular holiday spot amongst Scots.
The other places in the UK that topped the list according to Which? are Broxbourne, Elmbridge, Exeter, High Peak, Kirklees, Merton, Mid and East Antrim, Newcastle-under-Lyme, South Tyneside, Stockport and Wrexham.
