Being situated neat picturesque parks, having good transport links and living near the A52 are all things residents love about living in Toton. In a ‘quiet’ village where much doesn’t happen, Toton has a population of approximately 7,298.
People who live in the village have spoken out about what it’s like to live there. Self-employed Hannah Houghton, 39, said: “It’s quiet here, there’s not much but what we do have is enough.“When I first moved here, I was very happy to be on the A52 and the public transport isn’t bad either.” Hannah continued: “For a treat, my family and I love to go to The Manor [pub in Nottingham Road] and the Attenborough Nature Reserve is nearby too which is great for walking.
“I have a grandson who wants to go into the military when he’s older and he reminds me every time we go past the Military Preparation College. I like taking my dogs to the Manor Farm Recreation park with my husband, we’ve had many walks there.”
