Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has been impressed by the attitude of Scott McTominay
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag says he is using Scott McTominay as an example to the rest of his squad following his heroics against Brentford prior to the international break.
However, his performances for Scotland caught the eye during the international break and the United boss has been pleased to see the 26-year-old replicate that form for his domestic club. Speaking to MUTV prior to tonight's clash with Sheffield United, Ten Hag explained how McTominay's attitude was an example to his teammates.
"We were losing but they were very supportive and it was a great atmosphere in the stadium and also the team kept believing in a better result. We then brought Scott McTominay on and I think his attitude is a real example for everyone, to come on at such short notice, I cannot expect that every time a player comes on, that two minutes later he is scoring two goals.
