If you are not keen on seeing your tent fly away then upgrading your stakes is a no-brainer.
The experts add that you should also never forget to bring a small rubber mallet to pound the stakes into the ground.It goes without saying that you should do a dry run of all your camping equipment close to home before leaving. Even seasoned campers have forgotten tent stakes because they haven't checked the bag since their previous trip, say experts.
This way, you can test out everything, see if you’re missing any items and put your tent-constructing skills to the test. Campers have also been urged to pack adequate food properly, bring different layers of clothing and to not underestimate the weather conditions.
