Photo: Steve Smailes for The Lincolnite Registered milk production farms like Home Farm Dairy are one of a select few businesses allowed to sell raw drinking milk, due to Food Standards Agency fears that bacteria from raw milk can cause food poisoning.
The milk is then passed through pipework to cool it from 40C out of the udders to 5C when it reaches a 35,000 litre container. Around 2020, the farm then introduced a new coffee and milkshake machine, again using the same unpasteurised milk to make some familiar favourite beverages with a twist.
