Murphy's is a hidden gem basement bar in the city's Bell Street that you might not know about but stars like Sir Rod and former footballers like John Terry and Alan Brazil definitely have.
It's a basement bar packed with character and charm, as well as live entertainment and regular events featuring top sporting stars but Murphy's in the Merchant City still tends to fly a little under the radar for most.
In fact, Sir Rod Stewart not only often brings his famous pals there but he's also even been spotted behind the bar pouring pints of Guinness. "The two of us are in there all the time, it’s our football pub, we head straight for Murphy’s as soon as Rod lands as the atmosphere is incredible, the music is brilliant and everyone is so welcoming.
