Natalia Arno, founder of the Free Russia Foundation, recalls a 'taste of stone' in her mouth and pain all over her body
‘The FSB knew what colour my underwear was’: Survivor of ‘Kremlin poisoning’ says Prigozhin was doomed
Prigozhin, who was Russian President Vladimir Putin’s chef before he became the head of one of the world’s most infamous mercenary groups, was killed alongside nine other people when his luxury private jet crashed during a flight from Moscow to St Petersburg on Wednesday. The Kremlin accused Prigozhin, a former hot dog seller who became known as “Putin’s caterer”, of treason but the charges were dropped shortly after.
Scared that someone had been in, she started going through her things in case a surveillance bug had been placed, but didn’t find anything. “The density, level and period of this pain was different,” she added, saying this was the moment she started suspecting she had been poisoned. Ms Arno, who still suffers from some of the neuropathy symptoms she experienced in May, is now awaiting the findings of an FBI investigation into her case, but she believes she was poisoned by the Kremlin as she says doctors told her that her illness could not have been due to any natural causes.
