Jefferson Place was targeted by burglars on Sunday
People living in a city centre apartment block fear thieves could soon 'break into flats' after enduring parcel thefts on a 'practically daily' basis.
It’s understood that new security measures have been put in place by the building’s managers, Living City. However, residents fear that their homes could be targeted next.“How long is it until they get from the post room to breaking into flats?” asked one resident who spoke to the MEN. The man, who asked not to be named, has lived in Jefferson Place for four years.
The February 12 incident came ‘a couple of days after’ new posters were put up saying ‘we are going to change the code and post [the new one] to letter boxes’, he added. The resident also has ‘sympathy for Living City’.
