Bradley Walsh was taken aback by Pete's admission
The Chase fans were quick to react as a new contestant branded an ITV star "hot" as he stepped up to the podium.
Wednesday's episode saw Bradley Walsh welcome four new players to the studio. Pete from Carmarthenshire, Julia from Whitley Bay, Kate from Cheshire, and Henrique from London had never met before but teamed up to take on one of the UK's biggest brains. Pete, 75 and a retired bus driver, was up first. When Bradley asked him who he would like to play against, Pete simply said: "Jenny, because she's hot".Fans watching at home were in stitches with many taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, to comment. Ange said: "PETE you saucy minx" while Boris said: "Jenny coz she's hot! YES" [sic].Unfortunately for Pete, it wasn't Jenny Ryan they were up against it was Shaun Wallace, also known as The Dark Destroyer.
As Shaun entered the studio he told Pete "you're going home" but despite Pete having a decent cash-builder he took a low offer of £1,000. He then made it back to the team with the cash.Receive newsletters with the biggest and breaking TV and showbiz news by signing up here
