The North West boutique hotel and glamping site named among the best places to stay in England
VisitEngland has announced the winners of its annual Awards for Excellence with several venues across the North West receiving accolades. The awards celebrate England’s tourism industry with categories ranging from Small Visitor Attraction of the Year to Experience of the year.
Among this year’s winners were several sites in Cumbria, including The Quiet Site in Ullswater. It received the gold award for Camping, Glamping and Holiday Park of the Year.Just a stone’s throw away from attractions including Aira Force and Lowther Castle, The Quiet Site offers luxury camping pods, cabins and camping pitches which suit everyone's needs. They even have a bar on site and serve wood-fired pizzas.
Cedar Manor in Windermere received a silver award for B&B and Guest House of the Year. The family-run boutique hotel is known for its luxury afternoon teas and makes for a great base to explore the Lake District from.
