Alan Cumming took a detour from his busy filming schedule to pick out a place for a name tag after his decision to sponsor a seat at the Highland Perthshire cinema where he is patron.
Aberfeldy had a famous actor spend some time at The Birks Cinema — Alan Cumming came to pick out the seat he’d sponsored.
While visiting The Birks, Alan chatted to Fiona MacEwan, programme and community development manager for the Birks Cinema, about the importance of the Highland Perthshire venue as a community asset and how it helped in the regeneration of The Square in Aberfeldy. Having filmed at The Birks, a couple of hours later Alan left to fulfil TV filming commitments for a new Channel Four show about famous Scottish railways.
