Which toast.... has the most?
Whether you like a seeded, a farmhouse, a wholemeal or a 50/50 - everyone has their favourite loaf of bread.
At a cost of £1.25 for an 800g loaf, the Warburtons toastie may not be everyone's first choice of bread, especially when cheaper alternatives fill our shelves. So, we visited four supermarkets to see how their version of the popular loaf compare. The flavour of the crust is what immediately pleases us and the fact that the bread is soft, whilst not being doughy and has a deep, comforting flavour that you only get with a good slice of white bread. In our minds, it's delicious and with the added benefit of being a brand you can trust, this will be hard to beat.
Although it has the familiar look of Warburtons - and feels soft and thick, it's not enough to save it from being a chewy nightmare, so we won't be purchasing again.
