Customers were left fuming after discovering their favourite deals had been axed
Tesco Clubcard customers have been left fuming after the supermarket scrapped its popular points system deals on sweets and chocolates amid the cost of living crisis. The supermarket has axed its long running three for £1.20 Clubcard deal on chocolate bars which included popular choices such as Kinder Bueno, Yorkie and Bounty which all individually cost between 60p and 70p.
One person tweeted: “Actually in complete shock that Tesco have stopped doing the £1 for three bags of sweets deal.” Another said: “Tesco doesn't do the 3 sweet bags for £1 deal anymore, smh [shaking my head] cost of living crisis has gone mad.” Another said: ”Tesco appear to have stopped their 3 chocolate bars for £1.20. This has been a staple of my working life. Cost of living crisis has finally broken me.”
Every major retailer including Asda, Aldi, Lidl, Morrisons, Tesco, Sainsbury's and M&S has had to make changes when it comes to products that are high in fat, salt and sugar . Such items can no longer be placed in shop entrances or next to checkouts – known as high priority areas – in England.
