'These courts are well used but they definitely need investment'
The local authority is looking for financial support from the Lawn Tennis Association as it tries to bring facilities at Brodie and Robertson parks up to standard.
Councillor Bruce MacFarlane, SNP rep for Paisley Southeast, said the progress on the bid for financial support from the LTA to upgrade the courts was “extremely welcome”.“Although we are not quite over the line yet, this is another step in the right direction to ensure the necessary funding is in place for top-quality tennis facilities at Brodie Park.
“Any implementation of a booking system must be accessible and affordable to everyone to ensure that this community asset continues to be enjoyed by everyone.”
