The Man Utd midfielder was up for sale all summer but proved his worth with a dramatic late show to ease the pressure on Ten Hag.
Peter Schmeichel has questioned Erik ten Hag's openness to selling Scott McTominay over the summer after the midfielder's late brace against Brentford on Saturday.
But McTominay, who only came on in the 87th minute, bagged a dramatic brace in added time to turn the game on its head. “He’s a fantastic player, you need utility players. You need players that can play different positions, that can come from the bench and change the course of the game and he’s definitely one of them. You bring in players and you sit there with big question marks, why is that player there?”
