A teenager sent a message to his mother saying "I'm tired" before he died in a tragic collision. Robert Adams, 19, was driving on the A55 when he collided with a lorry in May, 2022.
At an inquest on Friday, dashcam footage was shown from the Astra before the collision and viewed by members of Mr Adams' family who were present. A statement was read on behalf of his mother, Lorraine Lansbury, who was with the family on the day of the accident. But nine minutes later the crash occurred with the driver of the Volvo lorry, James Boyce, who told police he was slowing down to approach a 30mph zone when the collision happened, his tachometer confirmed that he was travelling at 29.2mph.
