'He's so lovely. He is my little angel'
The grandmother of a Northamptonshire teen with a genetic condition who eats cables and handles is fundraising to get him specialist furniture. Harry Scott, 16, from Wellingborough has Angelman syndrome which means he can't walk, talk or go to the bathroom by himself.
"He can't have normal things because he will eat them. I don't know how many telly wires he has had over the years. "He will look at you and then look at what he wants and you know you've got to move it otherwise that will be gone. He is a joy but he needs all the extra help we can give him." "Getting him in and out of the car is danger. We have to just learn to accept things in the end. When he moves, his wardrobe and dressing table they've all got to be specially made because otherwise, he will take them to bits. If there is a handle he will have it off.
"Sometimes you don't know until you actually get his kit off to put him in the shower and you say 'where did you get that from?' but he can't stand anybody shouting. Anything goes straight in his mouth. He likes the texture of things.
