Jamie Aitchison sadly passed away in December 2022, aged 20, after struggling with his mental health and addiction
The memory of a beloved young man who took his own life is being kept alive by his family who are striving to help others in his situation.
They set up Jamie’s Sanctuary in his honour and have been fundraising to provide a free drop-in centre for young people plus an outreach service. This year there was also a snack van that came along, raffle prizes and representatives from Andy’s Mans Club in Armadale also came along to offer support. This year they will also be helping Kick Mental Health, another local community group that helps people with mental health issues.
