‘Why hasn’t the government protected our daughters from these sorts of rip-off merchants?’ It's not every day Taylor Swift is mentioned in the House of Commons, but MP Kevin Brennan has called on the government to protect Swifties from re-sell scalpers.
Taylor has been performing her three-hour show to thousands of fans in the States over recent months, and will jet over to the UK for six shows in London, three in Liverpool, three in Edinburgh, three in Dublin, and one in Cardiff next year.
Many Swifties got lucky and bagged themselves a spot in a stadium to see the Anti-Hero hitmaker live in 2024 as the Midnights pre-sale offered a select group early access.and putting tickets up for sale for hundreds – even thousands – more than they paid – MPs included. Speaking in the House of Commons this week, Kevin Brennan – the MP for Cardiff West – explained that his daughter is a die-hard Taylor fan and called for action over scalpers.
