Six drivers were arrested last night for drink driving
One of the motorists detained yesterday was collared in Preston Preston. According to Lancashire Constabulary, they crashed their car in the city and then decided to join the M6, despite the bonnet and front wheel virtually falling apart.
Officers say they were able to get the car to stop and the driver was safely detained. The M6 was then reopened after the crash had closed the road.Luckily though, no one was injured in the road traffic incident. Lancashire Road Police's full tweet reads: "One of six drink drivers arrested tonight by #T3RPU this driver had crashed in Preston and joined the M6.
"Luckily officers managed to get the vehicle stopped and driver safely detained with motorway reopened. Luckily nobody was injured. #fatal5."
