The park will be e transformed into a winter wonderland
A theme park in Nottinghamshire promises to deliver festive fun for the entire family this Christmas. Sundown Adventureland is a theme park near Retford designed for under 10s and later this year it will be transformed into a winter wonderland and open one of its most popular rides, ‘The Night Before Christmas’.
During their trip, visitors will be able to hop one of Santa's sleighs for a journey through the enchanted forest to Father Christmas’ Magical Grotto. There will then be a chance for families to meet the man himself and share their Christmas wishes before taking a present home with them. Debs Griffin, director at Sundown Adventureland said: “We’re hugely excited to be launching our tickets for the Christmas Spectacular and can’t wait for everything this wonderful season has to offer. Every year, we’re astounded by how popular our Christmas event is, as it sells out extremely quickly and it just seems to be getting more and more popular.
The Four Seasons Arena opened last year for the first time, and for the holiday season it will be decked with beautiful lights and festive decorations. There will also be live entertainment shows, festive food and drink with mince pies, non-alcoholic mulled wine and hot chocolate at the park. Guests will also have access to most of the other rides, playparks and attractions for the rest of the day, including the Jolly Pirate Boat Ride, Monkey Mayhem Driving School, Crash Landings Lollipoppet Castle and Storybook Village. Sundown Adventureland’s overnight accommodation, Wild Acre Village, will also be open for short and long breaks and gives guests a way to extend their fun and embrace the magic a little longer.
