This isn’t something that they had to contend with last year, with large portions of the workforce stopping doing their job for five weeks, so potentially.”
The Home Office said that over 99 per cent of standard applications have been processed within 10 weeks since the start of the year. However, the Passport Office source suggested that delays could “ramp up” beyond 10 weeks, which would already be in June.
