The services have been diverted since 8pm, but the exact location and nature of the fire is not yet clear. In a tweet, NCT stated: "Due to a fire Pink 28 is diverting via Burnside Road, Glaisdale Drive, Trowell Road and Stotfield Road."
In a follow up tweet, it added: "Orange 35 is diverting from Cockington Road via Trowell Road, Glaisdale Drive and Burnside Road. Bus stops Tremayne Road, Westwick Road and Brindley Road cannot be served."
