An 18-year-old has been arrested
Police have arrested a man in connection with a string of break-ins reported in a Nottinghamshire Village. The incidents were all reported in East Leake overnight on April 24 and 25.
The burglaries targeted houses on Bateman Road, Sand Martin Close as well as two properties in Fieldfare Close. During one of the burglaries, it is believed the suspect climbed through a bathroom window as his victim slept.Detective Constable David Smith, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Burglary is a horrible crime and can have a long-lasting impact on victims. One of our victims was in bed as an intruder climbed into her house and stole her car and was understandably shaken by the experience.
“I am pleased we have now arrested a suspect for this series of offences and would like to assure all residents of just how seriously we take this issue.”
