Viewers say it's the 'worst kept secret'
Strictly Come Dancing viewers have complained after spotting what they felt were signs that the BBC was 'pretending' the Sunday night result show was live after the first elimination week. Similar complaints about this surfaced in 2021, when fans claimed the result show was actually recorded the day before.
The main reasons for the complaints from fans are that spoilers can leak every week which means viewers already know who will be eliminated before the show airs. This is often before the dance-off is even shown which can ruin the surprise reveal in the Sunday show, reports Yorkshire Live.And one fan even pointed out that the BBC is keeping up the ruse by adding subtitles live, instead of pre-added, to make the show appear as if the subtitles are being added to live speech.
