Strictly Come Dancing star Angela Rippon has responded to criticism of her slow routines with professional Kai Widdrington ahead of her Charleston
Strictly Come Dancing's Angela Rippon and pro partner Kai Widdrington have hit back at critics, who claimed they have only performed "slow dances" on the competition so far.
Last week, the pair received an incredible 34 points and were third on the leaderboard following their Argentine Tango. Kate, 56, said: "Sometimes the dances have been quite slow..." to which Angela responded: "Well, we did the Quickstep, there's a clue in the title, and we did the very first dance which was the Cha Cha Cha."
"Make no mistake, Angela is doing lots of steps to a fast Charleston and she's being very much lifted over my head more than once with another trick in there!"Angela went on to add: "Also, of course, dance isn't all just about being fast and running around a ballroom, it's about technique, it's about precision, and that's what we've done I think in the last two particularly.
