Stormont officials have said "preliminary work" has been carried out on proposals to add the word 'Derry' to road signs alongside 'Londonderry'.

Mr O'Dowd and other caretaker ministers were removed from office last October in the months following Stormont's collapse after the DUP withdrew from power-sharing in protest against Brexit's Northern Ireland Protocol.
DUP MLA Brian Kingston hit out at Sinn Féin-banded Irish-language signs advising drivers to slow down, saying they were "intimidatory" to unionists.
