Essential public services in Northern Ireland are being put at risk by the 'alarming' budget crisis at Stormont, say the heads of more than 50 public bodies.

It has written to Northern Ireland Secretary Chris Heaton-Harris, asking him for urgent clarity on the budget. Its chair, Nicole Lappin, said public bodies had never before been faced with such a significant budget crisis and were deeply concerned about the effect a major reduction would have.
