Heavy rain and strong winds are set to batter Glasgow today as Storm Agnes moves in. A yellow warning for wind has been put in place by the Met Office ahead of the storm.
The storm is expected to bring with it 80mph winds and 60mm of rain with a yellow warning in place from 12pm on Wednesday to 7am on Thursday.
Scots are being warned of possible injuries from flying debris as a result of high winds. There is also risk of flooding in certain areas, which may impact travel including public transport and may result in the odd road closure. ScotRail has warned customers that services could be disrupted by the extreme weather.
Electricity network operator SP Energy Networks has shared safety advice to help customers keep safe in the event of any potential power cuts caused by Storm Agnes.
