Ditching certain foods from your diet can also help you to nip the habit in the bud and allow your partner to sleep through the night.
Snoring is one of those habits that is never done with any malicious intent, but can be incredibly annoying for whoever's sleeping near you.
However, according to health and nutrition experts, your diet plays a huge part in whether or not you snore - and certain foods can make the issue a lot worse. Ashleigh Tosh, from Prepped Pots powered by MuscleFood.com said: "Although changing your diet may not entirely stop you from snoring, it can go a long way in helping you manage and reduce the symptoms. If you're looking for a better night's sleep or wish to spare your partner from staying up until the wee hours of the night then take a look at your diet and try to cut out foods that can trigger snoring.
The first food you should consider ditching before food is anything dairy, like yoghurt, cheese and ice cream. You should also try to avoid sugary foods and drinks, because these can lead to inflammation in your nose and throat.
