Stephen Robinson believes St Mirren’s men in reserve are just as important as the starting XI he’ll put into battle at Celtic Park this evening.
Robinson feels the determined work ethic throughout his squad is the key behind the Paisley club sitting pretty in third spot in the Premiership table ahead of tonight’s exciting clash against the Hoops. “Mikael Mandron and Toyosi Olusanya are good friends off the pitch, but it is a battle to get in our team now.
“I look at Ryan Flynn, who we always talk about being the ultimate pro, but he’s also still a very, very good footballer. “They keep the quality up in training and keep people pushed and driven. Thierry Small doing that for Scott Tanser is probably the best example. Even though he will show the Hoops plenty of respect, the Buddies boss insists they are now in a better position to take the game to the Old Firm, rather than sit in and hope for a miracle.
