The state of a wildflower spot in Spateston has been branded a “hideous overgrowth” by a baffled politician.
But Councillor Iain McMillan, Labour group leader, has been left perplexed by the initiative, which forms part of the council’s ambitious commitment of becoming net zero by 2030. He added: “I do know some people embrace that and say it’s good for biodiversity and all the rest of it, so I did a survey and I know Facebook isn’t an exact science.
