Victor Wembanyama entered the NBA as arguably the best prospect in decades. The 7-4 San Antonio Spurs rookie then dazzled audiences in the NBA preseason, flashing never-before-seen skills from a man his size. Now, he begins his real NBA career with a home intrastate division matchup against the Dallas Mavericks, one of the Spurs' longtime rivals.
This is shaping up to be the most highly touted debut for a rookie since LeBron James' first game as a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers 20 years ago.Tip-off is scheduled for 9:30 p.m. ET from the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio.
