The Great Kathmandu has been serving the people of West Didsbury since 1986
Back in the 1970s, Gopal Dangol was beginning to make a name for himself as one of the most popular chefs in Kathmandu. Known for his skill and excellent food creations, it wasn't long before he was recognised by a restaurant in the UK who knew he had to be snapped up immediately.
A few upgrades and incredible menu changes later, the local family-run business is thriving, with guests choosing to eat in the much-loved restaurant seven days a week. Gopal Dangol belives that when creating a menu of food for people to enjoy, nothing should be taken off it, only added. Buda carries on this tradition and aims to find new ways of serving incredible food, as well as creating new and exciting recipes for people to enjoy.
