Northants Poice said her conduct 'fell way short' of expectations of its members
A former Northamptonshire Police special constable has been sentenced after assaulting three of her fellow officers while drunk in Wellingborough. The constable resigned from the Force last month with misconduct proceedings taking place.
Gemma Hall, 27, appeared before Leicester Magistrates' Court last week, after she admitted to assaulting three police officers in Wellingborough. The incident took place in the early hours of March 9 2022. Hall was in a drunken and disorderly state when she began beating three of her fellow officers in Regent Street.
At an earlier hearing, Hall had admitted common assault on an emergency worker and two assaults by beating of an emergency worker. She also pleaded guilty to a single charge of being drunk and disorderly.For the common assault, Hall was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £95 and costs of £85, alongside £150 for the assaults by beating to the two officers she attacked.
Leicester judges also ordered Hall to complete five days of non-residential mental health treatment requirement in the next six months under the direction of the probation service.At NorthantsLive we're more than just news. DS Wignall confirmed that Hall had resigned from the Special Constabulary last month. Misconduct proceedings will now be progressed in relation to her behaviour.
