Gareth Southgate provides update on James Maddison as star scores in 15-minute open training ENG
Gareth Southgate has told talkSPORT James Maddison ‘is no longer feeling any discomfort’ from his knee injury.
The Leicester City star also scored as he took full part in England’s 15 minute open training session on the eve of their final World Cup group game against Wales.Advertisement Maddison had been absent fromthe Three Lions’ training sessions and opening two ties in Qatar, but he’s now in and amongst the rest of Gareth Southgate’s 23-man squad.after missing his country’s games against Iran and the USA whilst he was having treatment on a knee injury.
Now, Gareth Southgate has told talkSPORT Maddison’s fitness still looks to be on the up as he provided a positive update on the midfielder.“He’s only had a couple days of full training with the team, but the good thing is he’s not feeling any discomfort from the injury he had, therefore he’s heading in a good direction with it.”
The Foxes star took full part in the Three Lions training session again on Monday, and he even scored in the 15 minutes of training open to the media, as per
