sources have told Football InsiderThe Merseysiders sanctioned the exit of winger Demerai Gray, 27, on Thursday – with the ex-Leicester man joining Saudi Arabian side Al-Ettifaq.The 30-year-old Portugal international is a high earner at Goodison Park.That is despite last playing for Everton in May 2022.Gomes spent the 2022-23 campaign on loan at Lille, making 27 appearances and registering three goals and two assists.
Midfielder Jean-Philippe Gbamin was released by Everton earlier this summer after unsuccessful attempts to find him a new club. Moise Kean, Alex Iwobi, Tom Cannon, Ellis Simms and Niels Nkounkou are among the stars to also leave Goodison Park since the end of the 2022-23 campaign.The Toffees face Arsenal after the international break .
