Some pubs and bars have been approved to temporarily change their license conditions for the match
Some of Manchester’s bars and pubs will be allowed to serve alcohol early as punters watch the Lionesses’ World Cup final match on Sunday morning.
That means that it will not be a blanket licence extension across the city’s venues and only those which have applied for and been approved to sell alcohol for kick-off will be allowed to. The full number of TENs to be applied or approved for Sunday has not been disclosed. “Licensing officers have now processed all valid notices received to extend hours allowing venues to open earlier for this historic and exciting event and operate within their licence conditions.
