The SNP wants all pro-independence campaigners to abide by a code governing their behaviour.
The resolution passed at the SNP Conference stated that any organisations and parties involved in a new independence campaign will “Adhere to a code of conduct built on the principles of freedom, tolerance, equality, the protection of individual and community rights and the rejection of prejudice and discrimination in any form.”The proposal of a code of conduct was proposed by SNP President, Michael Russell, who said: 2As SNP members we are bound by a code of conduct.
He said things have changed since 2014 in a new referendum campaign it will be different and we will need a different approach.Share
