Voters in Rutherglen and Hamilton West will finally go to the polls on October 5 to settle an electoral race that has been running for months.
The SNP and Labour have both claimed only they can offer voters change as the Rutherglen and Hamilton West by-election campaign enters its final week.
Labour are the bookmakers' favourite to win the contest which would hand them a huge boost going into next year's general election campaign. "No other candidate has been able to support my calls for meaningful action that can be taken to help put more money in people's pockets - including a £400 energy bill rebate, mortgage tax relief for local homeowners and scrapping the cruel two child cap."
