Chilly conditions are set to arrive in a matter of days after lots of wet weather and flooding across the country over the weekend.
A cold snap is set to arrive in the UK within days as sub-zero temperatures and flurries of snow could hit.
Highs of 25.8C were recorded in London on Sunday, nearly 10C higher than the October average of 16C as the unseasonal weather settled in some areas. But much of Scotland battled heavy rain and flooding, with more unsettled weather on the way as forecasters warn of a temperatures drop to as low as -1C.
Following days of downpours, heavy rain is expected to cause disruption in parts of the UK. However, the wet weather will make more of an impact in Southern areas of the UK in the coming days with some sunshine in Scotland before the arrival of snow, reports the Mirror. "Further north, there will be some sunshine, but also some showers, which will turn heavier, more frequent later in the week and, as colder conditions become established from the north, some snow is likely for Scottish mountains.
