Zeeshan Ali Aziz was employed as a Covid Vaccinator for NHS Lanarkshire during the pandemic when he lied about working five separate shifts between April 19 and May 26, 2021.

A Lanarkshire support worker has received a warning after pretending to work shifts and taking away more than £1,000 while working as a vaccinator during the covid pandemic.

Between April 19 and May 26 2021, Mr Aziz completed his staff sign-in sheet to confirm he was beginning an eight-hour shift before leaving the centre on five separate occasions. During this time, he continued to claim a salary for working these shifts, amounting to £1393.84. He also falsely claimed to his employer on May 26 that he had been working in another vaccination centre in The Time Capsule.

The report reads: "Social service workers are expected to behave in an appropriate way and be mindful of the standards they are required to adhere to. She submitted that you signed in for shifts which you did not complete leading to you making a financial gain. The gain amounted to £1393.84. When your employer challenged you initially said you were working at a different venue. The behaviour was dishonest.
